We think the visit to Disneyland Hong Kong was the most exciting part of our Hong Kong trip. Our mama were so much more enthusiastic than us and we don’t have anything against that. Disneyland is one of the most sought after destinations in the world. It’s a fun place where kids can visit fantasyland and where adults have the chance relive their childhood. Our mama is the biggest fan of the disney princess , it just she don't have a daughter.can imagine if she had one....
Tickets
We wandered down Main Street USA, taking every opportunities for a photo with the characters that once gave us so many laughs as a child growing up. Posing with Goofy and Pluto before having a laugh with Donald as he rubbed my little bro' Azrai stomach, was embarrassing and hilarious at the same time.but most of all we love being with Mickey and Minnie.
Our favorite disney cartoon charaters - toy story
More pics......
Next up was Tomorrowland, where we rode on the indoor roller coaster at space mountain it was very scary. we decided not to ride it ever again......
You can also take in the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster challenge before heading over to the Orbitron where you pilot your own flying saucer high above Tomorrowland. while having so much fun in the blaster , papa told us that he lost his handphone .Oh ! man. are you kidding , pa.He said it must had been fell off during the roller coaster ride.Straight away, we went back to the space mountain ride and ask the guys that work there.and guess what, they found it and return it back safe and sound.oh! what a BIG relief.......
Autopia borders next to Tomorrowland and while it sounds cool, jumping in a car that all you can do is press down on a pedal to move around a pre-determined track was more a way to sit and relax for a few minutes than anything else. It was FUN.......
Then we headed to Fantasyland which is where the fabled castle resides. Aimed more at the younger generation with the Mad Hatter Tea Cups and Cinderella’s Carousel, it was fun to watch so many children having the time of their lives including us.
Next up was It's a Small World. So fun! We love how they changed a lot of the decorations/people etc to reflect winter and Christmas. And we loved the Hong Kong scene! It was so accurate! All of the tall sky scrapers get totally decked out in Christmas lights during the holidays, and they are so fun to look at!
Adventureland then treated us to the “Festival of the Lion King” theatre show, a Jungle River Cruise and Tarzan’s Treehouse that gave great views of the park.
The parade
Catching the street parade first was a sight worth seeing before we darted in and out of the shops trying to find that one great Disney souvenir to take home with us.We bought lots of stationery sets.
Just before 6:30pm, we made our way back to Main Street to see the tree lighting. We were able to get a pretty good spot close to the tree. It was really cool. There was also caroling before the tree lighting, and it started snowing! So fun!
A pic of the snow... If only it were real!!
big fireworks display in the evening.
Now for the best part – The fireworks display in Sleeping Beauty’s Castle at 7pm in the evening.
Go towards the Castle at least 30 minutes earlier, find a seat facing the Castle, have some snacks while you wait for the Fireworks to start, and enjoy the show!
Nestled down on the floors that leads to the castle, watching the sky light up and the castle sparkle to life.
After two days we could safely say we saw Disneyland Hong Kong . In the end we had our photo taken with Mickey and Minnie Mouse, isn’t that every Disney kids dream?
Phew. Finally we managed to put it all together and share our HK Disneyland experience with you all!
- The weather can be a little unpredictable, especially if you plan to visit HK Disneyland during Christmas. we personally recommend wearing your clothes in ‘layers’, so you can always wear your shirt when the day is sunny and the breeze is cool, and put on your jacket / sweater when it gets chilly at night!
